Religion - Belief or disease

For the majority of us, we were born to parents who live within a particular culture and country and so our religion becomes something that we are born into and brought up with.

Religious doctrine is something we are taught as we grow and becomes part of the fabric of our lives, as do all the other things we have little or no control over; like what food we eat, what clothes we wear, the language we speak, the daily routines we follow. When we are children we have little or no choice over these things and our acceptance of religious practice is the same. Whatever religion or non-religion is taught, it became our norm.
People invariably believe and accept the religion of their birth. The one they have been indoctrinated in and had instilled in them over many years. Religion has done more damage than good, historically. It is not fair to be forced to follow the dictates of one's parents and society simply because others believe in the fantasy of religion.

There is no problem with Religion, in fact it's great to believe in something. But, I feel going crazy over religion and doing unethical things for Religion just doesn't seem right, when they themselves know that it's not guaranteed to happen.
